Matching Funding

As NAIRTL is a SIF-funded project, all individuals applying for NAIRTL funding must provide matching funding in respect of the amount applied for. For example if applying for a €5,000 grant, the estimated total cost of the project would be €10,000 and the remaining €5,000 could be comprised of privately raised funding, institutional reallocation of resources, staff time, departmental and institutional resources etc. Overhead expenditure can be included in the total cost of the project up to a rate of twenty- ve per cent.
