Overview
The Australian Historical Association (AHA) in association with the Copyright Agency Limited (CAL) is pleased to announce the availability of ten Travel and Writing Bursaries linked to this year’s AHA conference to be held at the University of Western Australia and Notre Dame, 5–9 July 2010.
Bursaries
The bursaries are intended to encourage and support emerging historians, particularly those who would otherwise be unable to attend the conference. The bursary, valued at $600 per applicant, provides financial assistance to conference participants who have little or no institutional support to cover their conference costs.
The bursaries will support ten scholars to attend the conference, present papers within the overall conference program and participate in follow-up mentoring which will be held during the Conference. In addition they will attend two Writing Workshops (scheduled for 5 and 9 July). Under the terms of the bursary they will be expected to submit a draft article by June 30 the revised article to the AHA’s journal, History Australia, before 30 November 2010, to be considered for publication.
