Overview
The Division of Public Health at the University of Liverpool, offers an innovative and participatory full-time or part-time modular programme, commencing September 2010, leading to the degree of Master of Public Health/Diploma in Public Health/Certificate in Public Health.
This popular and quality assured programme, which is now in its 21st year, combines the benefits of multidisciplinary contact sessions (2 days per week - full-time students; 1 day per week - part-time students) with the flexibility of open learning. The programme provides a comprehensive grounding in public health knowledge and skills for students intending to practice in a wide range of health-related professions and has also been developed to meet the needs of public health professionals who wish to go on to complete MFPHM Part A. It takes a balanced approach to both qualitative and quantitative knowledge.
The programme is internationally respected, especially for its multi-disciplinary focus and commitment to the World Health Organisation's (WHO) Health 21 policy and the socio-environmental model of health.
Please note that modules from the MPH Programme can also be taken as a Short Course on a Continuing Professional Development (CPD) basis.
