Dear Colleagues,
The Centre for European Studies of the Jagiellonian University (www.ces.uj.edu.pl ), a participant in the IMESS consortium (International Masters in Economy, State and Society with reference to Central and Eastern Europe), invites outstanding scholars to apply for an Erasmus Mundus research fellowship of 2 - 12 weeks to be spent at our Centre.
The Centre for European Studies of the Jagiellonian University is a participant in the International Masters in Economy, State and Society (IMESS), an established two-year double degree Masters programme taught in English and offered by a consortium of leading European universities headed by University College London (School of Slavonic and East European Studies). IMESS draws on an unparalleled pool of resources to offer the definitive Masters course focusing on the economies, states and societies of Central and Eastern Europe. As part of the consorcium we offer a resreach scholarship for international scholars (from non-EU countries) for spenging some time at one of the partners of the consorcium (http://www.imess.eu/partners.php).
Applications are invited from scholars in possession of a PhD, employed in a research-related academic position, eligible for Erasmus Mundus funding and whose research interests relate to the Central/East European region. The ability to make a contribution to the research culture of the selected IMESS institution as well as to the provision of the IMESS degree itself is sought. Applicants are asked to submit a study plan outlining their research and teaching interests and how they propose to pursue them at their selected institution(s). Research Fellows will be expected to present their research in an appropriate research seminar series.
Grant Available
There are numerous research fellowships available for 2010/11 with a grant of €1,200 per week.
