WASEDA University Asia Special Scholarship

Overview

The Graduate School of Asia-Pacific Studies (GSAPS), WASEDA University will shortlist from the pool of applicants and recommend them to the WASEDA University Centre of International Education (CIE)

Application Period	February 6 (Monday) - 13(Monday), 2012 (Deadline)
Potential Candidates	TWO (Masters' Program)

* Application fee must be paid within the designated application period above. However, applicants who wish to be admitted into GSAPS are eligible to apply for the application fee waiver if they reside in one of the countries designated by Waseda University AND hold nationality of one of those countries.

Scholarship Grants

1. Exemption of the Graduate School Tuition Fees (In Principle, TWO years)
2. A 200,000 JPY Monthly Allowance
3. A 150,000 JPY One-Time Travel Allowance (Upon Entry to Japan Only)

Eligibility

To apply for the Waseda University Asia Special Scholarship, an applicant must:

1. Be a national of an Asian country (List of Participating Countries: Annex 1)
2. Newly come to Japan from abroad for the purpose of entering GSAPS (those currently living in Japan are not eligible for this scholarship)
3. Be less than 35 years old (at the point of matriculation)
4. Hold a bachelor's degree or its equivalent
5. In principle, applicants should have at least two years of full-time professional experience
   acquired after a university degree, in the applicant's home country or in a third country
6. Be prepared to return to his/ her native country upon completion of studies and contribute to his/ her home country
