Master in Civil Engineering (Sustainable Steel Construction) A one-year specialized programme for MSc students in Civil and Structural Engineering that requires high-quality training in Steel Construction. Advanced Master in Sustainable Steel Construction A two-year advanced MSc programme providing a solid theoretical and practical background (1st year) and one year of theoretical or applied research (2nd year) in SUSTAINABLE STEEL CONSTRUCTION. Eight European students will be awarded by Erasmus Mundus grant. The grant for alt three terms of Master program Online registration for European students grant (category B). Tvelve students will be awarded by Erasmus Mundus grant. The grant for alt three terms of Master program consist of Online registration for Erasmus Mundus third-country students grant (category A). Till 12 students will be awarded by ArcelorMittal grant which will cover the European participation cost, The deadline for application for ArcelorMittal is 10 April 2012 at 24:00 as latest. The final decision of obtaining the grant will be available in 30 April 2012. The travel and accommodation expenses of European students may be covered by Erasmus national grant based on bilateral University agreements as well. Please consult your University Erasmus office for your national possibility. All students interested in SUSCOS European Master degree are kindly requested to fill in the Application form ASAP. Eurpean Erasmus Mundus Master: Sustainable Constructions under Natural Hazards and Catastrophic Events (SUSCO)
The focus of master course SUSCOS_M is to provide attendees the engineering ability and know-how to design and construct structures in a balanced approach between economic, environmental and social aspects, enhancing the sustainability and competitiveness of the steel industry. The course is organized in three modules covering buildings; bridges and energy-related infra-structures from concrete, steel, timber, and composite structures and equipments with a practice oriented approach. A strong emphasis is given to the reduction of carbon footprint, the energy efficiency of buildings considering a life-cycle approach and the integration in the structural systems of renewable energies and innovative technologies.
The degree awarded is a Master Degree, provided as a multiple diploma. The MSc has duration of three semesters, each 30 ECTS, and is held on a rotating basis among partners. Coursework is concentrated in two countries and dissertation work is divided between all partners. Students may spend one term in one country and the coursework part of the second term in a second country. The dissertation can be carried out at any of the six partner countries.

The courses are lectured in English by academics from all partner institutions and invited teachers from associated members.
