Overview
The Schusterman Center for Israel Studies offers post-doctoral fellowships from time to time. We are not offering fellowships for the academic year 2012-2013.
Successful candidates teach one course per semester in Israel Studies, related to programs in Near Eastern and Judaic Studies, Israeli arts and culture, politics and law, sociology, economics, or other relevant disciplines.
The fellow is expected to be in residence at Brandeis, to participate actively in the intellectual life of the Schusterman Center for Israel Studies, and to present at least one public lecture. There may also be an opportunity for participation in the Summer Institute for Israel Studies.
The annual stipend is $50,000 and is benefits-eligible. The fellowship may be renewable for a second year.

When solicited, candidates should send a cover letter, CV, project proposal, two letters of recommendation, and a description of proposed courses to:

Priority will be given to applications received by December 15th. A PhD dissertation must have been submitted by the time of the proposal.

Selection Criteria
Decisions concerning applications will be made on the recommendation of the Faculty Advisory Committee of the Schusterman Center for Israel Studies.
