A Research Fellow is sought to work at the Moray House School of Education on a Nuffield-funded project to investigate the factors leading to success for deaf pupils. Working in partnership with the project Reference Group, the Research Fellow will analyse an existing database of data held on all deaf children in Scotland over the period 2000 - 2005.
He/she will, with support, set up and run a snapshot follow-up survey to be completed by teachers of deaf children and deaf school leavers from the original cohort. The Research Fellow will be expected to publish research papers in peer-reviewed journals, and participate in international conferences.
The post is fixed term for 2 years commencing 1 January 2010 to 31 December 2012.
