Overview
Junior Fellow is defined as someone who received the Ph.D. from 2004 through 2009. Junior Fellows may come from any discipline. They must be engaged in research appropriate to the 2010-2011 program: “The Intersection of Diaspora, Immigration, and Gender in World History.” Applicant’s work must fall in the time period 1800 to the present.. The Fellow will be expected to fully participate in the CHR program, provide occasional advice to the Director, conduct one of the program seminars, and offer a graduate or undergraduate course coinciding with the year’s program.
In addition to a curriculum vitae, applicants must submit a 3 to 5 page letter stating how their current research relates to the program’s themes; their data base and research questions—how their data will be used to answer the questions they pose; what they intend to accomplish during their year at the Center; and their prospective contribution to the CHR.
