Program DescriptionThe HSBC-North America Scholarship Program is available on a competitive basis to outstanding Latino undergraduate students in the 2011-2012 academic year. | | |
Eligibility Requirements- Be of Hispanic heritage
- Be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident with a permanent resident card or passport stamped I-551 (not expired)
- Have a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
- Have plans to enroll FULL-TIME in a degree seeking program at a four year U.S. accredited institution in the U.S., Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands or Guam during the 2011-2012 academic year
- Must permanently reside in one of the following:
- Buffalo, NY (city);
- Las Vegas, NV (Clark County);
- Los Angeles, CA (Counties of Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, Ventura);
- Miami, FL (city);
- Monterey/Salinas, CA (Salinas County);
- New Jersey (entire state);
- New York, NY (city);
- San Francisco, CA (city);
- Washington, D.C. (metropolitan area);

- Be a current undergraduate junior and plan on attending a four-year college or university where you will be a senior in the 2011-2012 academic school year
- Be majoring in one of the following majors: Accounting, Business Administration, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Economics, Finance, Information Technology (IT/MIS), Management, Marketing, Public Relations
- Must apply for federal financial aid by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
