Overview These forms must be attached to a separate application for admission to the PhD or DMA; application for admission for these degrees should only be considered following discussion with a prospective department.
The University of Otago Doctoral Scholarship provides funding to support doctoral students studying at the University of Otago.
Applicants must be:
- Obtaining their first doctoral qualification
- Domestic students or international students
Confirmation of the scholarship is dependent on approval to register as a doctoral candidate and completion of the enrolment procedure.
Selection is based predominantly on academic merit and the applicant’s potential for research.
These scholarships are also available for candidates for professional doctorates (DClinDent, EdD) who will be engaged in full-time thesis study in the year following application.
