Overview
The Master of Arts in Human Rights and Conflict Management is designed to enable students from different cultures and backgrounds to attain a deep understanding of the linkages between human rights and conflict resolution theory and practice.
Through their coursework, participants in the programme will engage with the major concepts, themes, and debates within international peace and conflict studies, preparing themselves for work with NGOs, governments, aid agencies, the UN and other organizations where a deep understanding of these issues is critical.
EU applicants
Applications for admission by EU citizens shall be sent no later than 17 October 2011.
To APPLY NOW FOR THE SELECTION OF EU CANDIDATES please click here.
To avoid overwhelming server traffic generated by the high volume of applications, Non- EU candidates are encouraged to submit their application well before the deadline of each round.
We encourage applicants to apply in the first round, as space in the class may be limited by the second round. In addition, applying in the first round leaves more time for visa procedures. International candidates needing visas will find that applying at a later stage makes the visa application process stressful and increases the chances of having their visas denied.Scholarships
1) The Master Programme offers no. 1 scholarship, covering the full tuition fee, to be automatically awarded to the EU citizen who makes the highest score in the list.2) Depending on financial availability, a limited number of scholarships will be made available to citizens of NON-OECD countries who are eligible for release of a visa for Italy. Eligible applicants shall fill in the appropriate section of the application form. Applications for financial assistance will receive consideration only in connection with completed applications for admission to the Master of Arts in Human Rights and Conflict Management. Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna reserves the right to determine the amount of each scholarship and the awarding criteria.3) Depending on resources availability the School might offer financial assistance towards internship expenses to those participants who are citizens of EU countries. In the past 2 editions of the Master Programme (a.y. 2006/2007 and 2007/2008) the School, in cooperation with the Regione Toscana, offered a partial reimbursement of the internship expenses to ALL EU participants. The contribution was calculated on the base of destination and duration of the internship.
