Undergraduate Scholarships at Humber College, Canada

Overview

Scholarships Available to International Students

Full Tuition Renewable Scholarships

Humber offers three full tuition renewable scholarships (Approximate value $12,200 CAD). These scholarships are available for NEW international students only (two offered in September and one offered in January of each year). Applications will be considered based on academics, community involvement, referee/reference letters and statement of interest. Renewal of the scholarship will be based on the student's ability to maintain a 70% GPA in each year of his/her program at Humber. An application form will be included with your acceptance package. The scholarships will be applied toward the successful students' tuition fees.


$5,000 CAD Renewable Scholarships

Humber offers three $5,000 CAD renewable scholarships each year. These scholarships are available for NEW international students only (two offered in September and one offered in January of each year). Applications will be considered based on academics, community involvement, referee/reference letters and statement of interest. Renewal of the scholarship will be based on the student's ability to maintain a 70% GPA in each year of his/her program at Humber. An application form will be included with your acceptance package. The scholarships will be applied toward the successful students' tuition fees.

$1,000 CAD Entrance Scholarships (non-renewable)

Twenty (20) one-time entrance scholarships valued at $1,000 CAD each will also be presented to international students. The scholarships are divided throughout our three semesters each year; ten (10) available for September, eight (8) available for January, and two (2) available for May. Applications will be considered based on academics, community involvement, referee/reference letters and statement of interest. An application form will be included with your acceptance package. The scholarships will be applied toward the successful students' tuition fees.

Bachelor's Degree Scholarships

These academic scholarships (available to academically qualified incoming students) are awarded at the time of offer based on the following high school/secondary school grade point average:
75-79.9% - $1,500 (one-time)
80-84.9% - $2,000 (renewable)*
85-89.9% - $3,000 (renewable)*
90-94.9% - $3,500 (renewable)*
95% or above - $4,000 (renewable)

Bachelor's Degree scholarships are available to students coming directly from high school/secondary school studies, who are non-transfer students (i.e. haven't attended college or university, or studied in Humber's EAP program), and are unlimited in quantity.
* Renewable scholarships will be re-issued if the student achieves 80% or above in each year of the Bachelor's degree.

Bachelor's Degree Scholarships for EAP Graduates

Graduates of Humber's English for Academic Purposes (EAP) program with a GPA of 80% or higher in Level 8, who are applying for a Humber Degree, will be eligible to receive a one-time non-renewable scholarship of $1,500.

Admission Requirements

  • A completed Humber International Application Form.
  • Original or copies (attested to by the educational institution of issue) of records that prove you have achieved academic standing equal to 12 years of primary and secondary education for postsecondary programs, or completion of a university or college program for postgraduate programs. See what guidelines (below) are required from your individual home country.
  • Proof of English Language Proficiency, varying depending on program/level of entry. Theserequirements vary depending on the type of program to which you are applying. If you do not meet the minimum English language requirements, you may be eligible for conditional acceptance, if you enroll in and successfully complete Humber's English for Academic Purposes (EAP) program.
  • $75 CAD non refundable application fee. This can be paid by bank draft or credit card.
  • If admission requirements for your program include other documents (portfolio, writing samples, questionnaires) be sure to provide these as well. If you contact the International Centre in advance, we can send you a list of the documents for you to include with your application package.

Important Date: Applications for high demand programs (with Fall admission) must be received by February 1st in order to be considered for admission. Many programs will continue to accept applications after this date (when space is available).

Humber recommends that offshore students submit complete applications by the following dates:

  • September/Fall Intake: July 1st*
  • January/Winter Intake: November 15th*
  • May/Summer Intake: April 1st*

* note: applications received by these guideline dates do not guarantee seat availability as many of our programs are highly competitive.
