Overview
The Japanese Grant Aid for Human Resource Development Scholarship (JDS) program has been started in the Republic of Uzbekistan since Japanese Fiscal Year 1999-2000. Up to today, total of 206 Uzbek fellows have been sent to Japan under the program. JDS program is now inviting potential applicants from government sectors, who understand its aims and are interested in 2 -2.5 year master degree program at Japanese universities for the academic year 2012-2013.
The program will be instructed in English.
The number of dispatches is 15 per year.
Sub-Program/ Component and Accepting University
The JDS program consists of "Sub-Program" and "Component" as the priority field of study, which correspond to and deal with the target priority issues for the social and economic development of the Republic of Uzbekistan (Please refer to the purpose of the study in each Sub-program/Component in the chart below).
The fellows of the JDS program in the Republic of Uzbekistan are selected from the "Target Organizations" whose mission is closely related to the "Sub-Program" and "Component". This approach gives its most importance on "Selection and Concentration" on the target priority development issues, securing further effectiveness and efficiencies of the program.

1. Citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan
Eligible Applicants
- 2. Between the age of 22 and 39 (as of April 1st, 2012).
Born on/after April 2nd, 1972 and born on/before April 1st, 1990. - 3. Work Experiences
- › Must belong to the target organization listed on the guideline as a regular employee.
- › Must have more than two-years work experience in the relevant fields in the target organization as of October 17, 2011
- 4. Has a bachelor's degree;
- 5. Has a good command of both written and spoken English;
- 6. Has not been obtained a bachelor or master's degree in a foreign country under any kind of scholarship including UMID foundation scholarship or at their own expense;
- 7. Must not be Military personnel registered on the active list or person on alternative military service.

- August 22, 2011 - at Japan international Cooperation Center, Tashkent
- September, 2011(planning) - in Namangan, Samarkand, Bukhara and Urgench
2. Application Deadline
Application documents will not be returned for any reason.
Late submission and incomplete application documents shall NOT be accepted.

1.Research plan
Note
Before an applicant writes the research plan, it is recommended to study "University Information" closely to make sure if the university has curriculums and faculty members relevant to your research plan. Applicants can acquire more information in the website of each university or visit JICE JDS Project Office.
The research plan should be in connection with the Component, the program of applying university and the future career plan in the belonging organization.
