Overview
The College hopes to elect not later than 1 March 2010 to the following Fellowship with tenure from 1 October 2010:
The tenure of the Fellowship will be for three years. The holder will be permitted to do a limited amount of teaching for the College, but would require the permission of the Governing Body to undertake other paid work. The stipend will be in the range of £20,834 to £23,449 p.a., depending on whether the successful candidate has been awarded a Ph.D. Depending on whether or not the successful candidate chooses to live in or out of College, he or she will be provided with a set of rooms or a study.
Application
Applications should reach The Senior Tutor's Assistant by 1 December 2009 and should include the following information:
1.the usual particulars, and a short account of the applicant's academic record and career so far, including a note of any other appointments for which applications are being made
2.an explanation of the nature of the applicant's current research in about 1,000 words of non-technical language, a brief statement of any future research project, together with a statement of published and unpublished work; the work itself should be available to the Electors shortly after the closing date but should not be sent until requested
3. the names of two persons well acquainted with the applicant personally and academically who have agreed to write in support of the application; the applicant should give these persons a copy of the “Notes for the Referees” and ask them to write directly to The Senior Tutor’s Assistant, Pembroke College, Cambridge (sally.clowes@pem.cam.ac.uk) by 1 December 2009
Applications should only be made on forms available here or from The Senior Tutor's Assistant, Pembroke College, Cambridge CB2 1RF (sally.clowes@pem.cam.ac.uk). All requested material may be sent by e-mail but a signed copy of the application form, must also be submitted by post. Incomplete applications will not be considered.
