Students are therefore in general assessed individually on the basis of students’ previous academic record, together with exam results, personal statements, letters of recommendation and language skills.
  • The programme strives for a competitive influx of students from different parts of the world. We follow EU guidelines and especially welcome students from ‘Asian windows’ countries. For more information consult: ec.europa.eu/education/programmes/mundus/faq/index_en.html
  • A limited number of students with a few years of work experience, who will benefit from the course, will be considered to participate in the EMMEP programme. It is our opinion that such students can give the programme an added practical value.
  • Upon receipt of the applications, the Consortium Board will select a list of suitable candidates. The selection of students is based on the above criteria, which have been set and agreed on by the partner universities.
  • A limited number of scholarships is available for "third-country" students. Eligible students should not be nationals and residents of EU Member States, EEA-EFTA States (Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway) and candidate countries (Croatia, Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia and Turkey). Furthermore, eligible students should have already obtained a first higher education degree and should not have carried out their main activity (studies, work etc) for more than a total of 12 months over the last five years in any of the Member States or participating countries mentioned above.
  • Students who want to apply for the Erasmus Mundus scholarship should be aware that they are not allowed to apply for more than three Erasmus Mundus programmes.
  • A list of third country students to be recommended for scholarships will be compiled together with a reserve list. The recommendations will be submitted to the European Commission for confirmation.
