London Metropolitan University Vice Chancellor's PhD Scholarship Scheme

Overview

We are pleased to announce that London Metropolitan University is offering a number of Postgraduate Research VC Scholarships (MPhil/PhD). Scholarships are based within one of the University’s Academic Faculties.

For 2011/12, the following VC Scholarships will be offered:

6 x Fees-only Scholarships: covering fees for successful applicants for up to three years full-time or six years part-time – for which home/EU and overseas/non-EU* applicants are eligible subject to UKBA restrictions

* Overseas/non EU applicants who wish to study part-time can only do so via distance learning

plus

3 x Stipendiary Scholarships: covering fees plus an annual stipend/living allowance for successful applicants for up to three years full-time or six years part-time – for which only home/EU applicants are eligible

Note: All Scholarships are only available for students who are not currently registered for a postgraduate research degree. All Scholarships are subject to regular review through the assessment of successful progression by the relevant Research Student Progress Group (RSPG).

VC Scholarships Policy & Procedures 2011-12

Applicants should specify on their application forms in which Faculty they wish to conduct their research and they may also propose a supervisor(s).

VC Scholarship Application Form 2011-12


Completed application forms should be emailed to research@londonmet.ac.uk and should include 'VC Scholarship Application' in the subject line/box of the email. The application deadline date is 19th September 2011.

Applications will be reviewed by subject specialists. Shortlisted applicants will be interviewed. Interviews will likely take place between 3 - 6 October 2011.

Due to the high volume of applications, it will not be possible to provide individual feedback. If you have not heard from us by 21st November 2011 you should assume that on this occasion you have not been successful.
