Post Graduate Programme Fellowship for Cambodian Higher Education Officials/Staff to Australia and New Zealand

Overview

In the coming academic year 2012-2013, MoEYS is giving fellowship award to higher education officials/staff to pursue post graduate programme in Australia and New Zealand. This fellowship award is under the Higher Education Quality and Capacity Improvement Project (HEQCIP) funded by the World Bank.
Prioritized Fields for Study
1. Education
2. Health Science;  
3. Engineering and Technology;
4. Agriculture;
5. Mine and Natural Resources;
6. Science;
7. Law; and
8. Economics
Eligible Requirements for DHE, DSR, ACC and HEI staff
  • Be DHE (Department of Higher Education), DSR (Department of Scientific Research) and ACC (Accreditation Committee of Education) staff ranging from Technical officer to Director level;
  • Be academic staff currently working at HEIs formally recognized by RGC (Royal Government of Cambodia) and working with MoEYS;
  • Be fully appointed and fulltime officials (for central level official);
  • Be fulltime and permanently appointed academic staff (for Higher Education Institutions);
  • Have a strong record of active and productive work throughout their careers to date;
  • Hold a Bachelor Degree related to Education, Health Science, Engineering and Technology, Agriculture; Mine and Natural Resources, Science, Law  and Economics;
  • Hold a Master Degree (for PhD Candidates);
  • Have a minimum of three years fulltime experience working in Higher Education;
  • Meet required English proficiency levels (at least IELTS 6.5 or equivalent in a test undertaken within the past TWO years);  
  • Provide medical evidence that they are in good health;
  • Pledge to continue working at their current institution for a minimum of FIVE  years following their return;
  • Demonstrate a capacity for high commitment to studying and to completing their degree program;
  • Demonstrate an ability to adapt to cross-cultural environments;
  • Not already be in possession of an overseas postgraduate award;
  • Be committed to sharing their new knowledge and  skills within their own institution; and
  • Female candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.


Selection Process and Key Dates

  • Announce and receive the application form from your HEI or Government Office from December 22, 2011,  or download application form and relevant documents from the MoEYS’s website: www.moeys.gov.kh
  • The DEADLINE for submission of applications is at 5:00 PM on Monday January 23, 2012;
  • Please submit completed THREE (3) copies of the application form to Component One, HEQCIP office, Department of Higher Education, 169, Preah Norodom Blvd, Sangkat Boeng Keng Korng I, Khan Chamkar Morn, Phnom Penh, Kingdom of Cambodia;
  • The shortlist will be released on February 03, 2012;
  • The shortlist candidates will be interviewed on February 07-08, 2012;
  • The release of successful candidates will be on February 10, 2012.
