Japan: Meiji University Global COE (Centers of Excellence) Program Postdoctoral Fellow Positions for FY2010

Overview

Meiji University Global COE Program, "Formation and Development of Mathematical Sciences Based on Modeling and Analysis" was selected as "Global COE Program FY2008" by Japan's Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology. We are accepting applications for outstanding postdoctoral fellows who promote cooperative research with our program members. A few positions are available for next-generation scientists from all over the world. (cf. Super-Postdoctoral Fellow Positions are also open at the Meiji University Global COE Program [Starting date: 1st April 2010].)

The Global COE Program has been executed by the Meiji Institute for Advanced Study of Mathematical Sciences (MIMS), an affiliated institute of Meiji University, as a center for education and research, focusing on studies of complex phenomena in society, nature, and biological bodies. Although we value those realistic models, already widely utilized, which aim at the quantitative reproduction of phenomena, here we aspire rather to establish a new kind of mathematical modeling and analysis, based on the construction of an extraction model that can clarify and comprehend the nature of phenomena.
