Denmark: Postdoctoral Researcher at Aarhus School of Business, Aarhus University (ASB)

Overview

The Department of Marketing and Statistics, Aarhus School of Business, Aarhus University (ASB) invites applications for a position of Post doc. researcher in consumer behavior. The successful candidate will be expected to take up appointment by 1 April 2010 subject to mutual agreement.

In terms of research, the position is linked to the MAPP Centre for Research on Customer Relations in the Food Sector, and it is expected that the applicant’s research will be in the area of consumer behaviour with regard to food. Part of the position is funded by the EU-funded FP7 research project EATWELL - Interventions to Promote Healthy Eating Habits: Evaluation and Recommendations, and part of the applicant’s research time will therefore be devoted to conducting work within the realms of this project. Priority will therefore be given to applicants with documented research activities in the areas of healthy eating behaviour.

Applicants must have a relevant PhD or similar academic qualifications to take up the position. The applicant is expected to be able to teach in English.

■A complete numbered list of publications and working papers. Research publications and working papers which the applicant wishes to be included in the evaluation should be marked by an asterisk (*)
■The asterisk-marked scientific publications
■A brief statement of future research plans should also be included

Please note that for the position of Post doc researcher, a maximum of five research publications and/or working papers may be submitted.


The applications will be evaluated by an assessment committee which is authorised to ask for supplementary material from applicants if deemed necessary. Applicants will receive a copy the committee’s recommendation which concerns their own application.


Candidates whom the expert assessment committee deems qualified for the position may be invited for an interview and may be asked to give a test lecture. In making the final decision, ASB will give priority to the applicant who has demonstrated the best research potential.


The appointment will be made in accordance with the agreement between the Danish Ministry of Finance and the appointee’s organisation.
