Overview
Applications are invited for six postgraduate research scholarships tenable from October 2010. These scholarships (unlike those in some other Law Schools) are full, fees and maintenance, scholarships*, providing a total in the region of £16,500 per annum. Each scholarship is available for a period of one year initially, with the expectation of renewal for a further two years, subject to satisfactory performance in degree studies.
The scholarships are available in most areas of law in which the School is able to offer supervision and also interdisciplinary projects that have a legal aspect.
Award Criteria
The criteria for award of the scholarships will be qualifications and potential (as revealed in grades, references and in other ways); performance at interview, if any; the quality of the research proposal; and practical experience and knowledge relevant to the area of research. Preference will be given to students who have applied for ORS awards and for International Office Scholarships through Nottingham.
