Overview
The Graduate School of Engineering, Osaka University offers an International Priority Graduate Program toward advanced degrees in Quantum Engineering Design research. The purpose of this course is to equip a new generation of young scientists with fundamental knowledge and cutting-edge research skills to realize Quantum Engineering Design. The program encompasses both Master and Doctor Courses. Students are expected to enroll in both courses sequentially to obtain both master's and doctoral degrees.

Four for each year
♦ Qualifications of Applicants
Nationality: must be from the countries whose citizens are eligible for Monbukagakusho Scholarship(Japanese Government Scholarship).
Age: must be less than 35 years as of April 1,2010(i.e. born after April 2,1975)
Education: Graduated or are expected to graduate by September 30, 2010 from a university or college.
Language ability: must have a good command of English

A completed form of "Application for Admission to the International Programs of "the International Priority Graduate Program of "Quantum Engineering Design Course" for Master and Doctor Degrees for October 2010 Link 2 and Link 3.
A Statement on Purpose from the applicant (not exceeding three double-spaced typed pages on A4 paper).
A pledge (prescribed form) Link 4 Link 5.
Copy of the Diploma of Bachelor's degree or its certificate issued by applicant's university.
If the applicant has Master degree, the copy of the Diploma of Master degree or its certificate issued by applicant's university.
A transcript of academic record of undergraduate program that indicates GPA or its equivalent and its full score as well, and is certificated by applicant's university.
If the applicant has Master degree, a transcript of academic record of Master Course certificated by applicant’s university.
If the applicant is expected to graduate by September 30, a certificate that defines expected date of your graduation issued by applicant's university.
A certificate of proficiency of English (for those whose previous education was in a language other than English). Attachment of the TOEFL or TOEIC score with certificate is strongly recommended.
A recommendation letter. It should be addressed to the president of Osaka University from the dean or the head of the faculty or school, or the president (rector) of the university or the institution from which the applicant graduated, or the employer if he or she works.
A certificate of the citizenship or a copy on A4 size paper of applicant's passport.
A photo of the applicant (4.5cm×3.5cm) taken within the past 6 months before the application date. Paste one photo on the application form 1). Write your name and nationality in block letters on the back of the photos.
The abstract of applicant's graduation thesis or its equivalent on A4 size paper.
