Overview
A postdoctoral position for a period of 24 months and hower by the deadline of the 31/05/2012, is available at the University of Perugia, Italy. The Department of Experimental Medicine and Biochimical Sciences is looking for an outstanding postdoctoral candidate for a European-funded research project (Fightmal, FP7, Marie Curie IAPP) aiming at mobilize skills, knowledge and resources from industry and academia to unravel correlates of protection againsts the human malaria parasite Plasmodium falciparum, one of the leading causes of death in developing countries. The applicant is required to have a University degree in Biological Sciences and PHD degree, as well as research experience of at least 4 years. The applicant must not have resided, worked or studied in Italy for more than one year in the last three years, according to the EU mobility requirements.
The contract effectiveness will be conditional on the positive control of the contract legality by the Italian Corte dei Conti. In case of positive communication, the contract will have effect from the notification of the registration of the job assignment by the Corte dei Conti; in case of negative result, the contract will be considered without any effectiveness.
