Overview
Applications are invited for two 3-year PhD Studentships to start on 1 October 2010 or as soon as possible thereafter:
• PhD Studentship in Mathematical Finance
• PhD Studentship in Mathematics
The Department of Mathematics offers PhD projects in a wide range of areas in pure and applied mathematics including Algebra, Differential Geometry, Fluid Dynamics, Functional Analysis, Mathematical Biology, Mathematical Finance, Mathematical Physics, Number Theory, Probability and Stochastic Analysis, and Statistics. Amount Awarded
Each PhD Studentship will pay the tuition fee and a stipend of £12,000 per annum for 3 years. The recipient of each these two PhD Studentships will be expected to teach the equivalent of 6 contact hours per week.
