Overview
Applications are invited for a full-time studentship available in the School of Built and Natural Environment in collaboration with BAE Systems. The studentship is tenable for up to 3 years for a PhD (via MPhil route) [subject to satisfactory progress].
Amount awarded
The studentship will cover the cost of tuition fees at UK/EU rates plus a stipend (currently £13,290 for 2009/10) per annum. The successful applicant will start on 1 July 2010.
Project Title:
Energy and Power Management: Development of Intelligent Energy Management Systems
Project Description:
Specifically to do software architecture analysis, understand where intelligence and IP reside and find market solutions; to provide software solutions for trend monitoring, issue detection, pro-active feedback and automated control. Solution integration into existing Energy Management systems and different site infrastructures.
Eligible Candidates
Applicants should have, or expect to receive, a second class (upper division) honours degree (or equivalent qualification) in a related discipline.
