Overview
The Faculty of Business, Economics and Law at The University of Queensland is pleased to announce fourscholarships for Peruvian students. The successful applicants will be eligible to undertake a bachelor or masters program through the Faculty of Business, Economics and Law at UQ.
Scholarship details
The scholarship will provide AUD$5000 towards tuition fees for a Faculty of Business, Economics and Law program. The scholarship will not cover:
• The University of Queensland application fee;
• cost of compulsory Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC);
• living costs;
• cost of return airfares; or
• cost of textbooks or any other miscellaneous costs.
Application process
• Submit your international student application for a relevant undergraduate or postgraduate program from the UQ Business School, School of Economics, TC Beirne School of Law or School of Tourism: www.uq.edu.au/study
• Once you have received an unconditional offer or have received a conditional offer, which will lead to an unconditional offer, complete your scholarship application form. Application forms for the scholarship can be downloaded from:

• Submit the scholarship application form and cover letter, via email, to the Faculty of Business, Economics and Law by the due date: Friday 27 November 2009 for semester 1 applications or Friday 28 May 2010 for semester 2 applications
Scholarship eligibility
The Peruvian Scholarship is awarded on the basis of academic excellence to an outstanding Peruvian student.
Applications will be assessed on the basis of academic records supplied with your application to The University of Queensland.
This scholarship is open to all who meet the following criteria:
• Peruvian citizen;
• have received an unconditional offer from The University of Queensland for either a bachelor or masters program (or those who have met all requirements of their conditional offer by the 27 Nov 2009 (for semester 1 2010 commencement) or 28 May 2010 (for semester 2 2010 commencement);
• if applying for a bachelor program have received a minimum grade point average of 5.5/7.0 (or higher) on the UQ scale after successful completion of one year of an undergraduate degree or; if applying for a masters successful completion of an undergraduate degree min 5.5/7.0(the equivalent GPA will be calculated from the relevant University scale from your home institution); and
• will commence their program at UQ in Semester 1, 2010 (February) or Semester 2, 2010 (July).
