Overview
Provides opportunities for faculty and institutional development in science and technology through exposure to methods of faculty and instructional development, educational leadership models, academic governance, and assessment tools. Scholars are clustered in small discipline-based groups at U.S. host universities to pursue intensive guided study and research activities with U.S. faculty counterparts. They interact with Americans and their communities through cultural and extracurricular activities designed to acquaint them with American cultural and society. The program is not intended to support individual research projects.
ELIGIBLE FIELDS: All science & technology fields are eligible, including agriculture, engineering, environmental sciences, and information technology.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
· Egyptian citizenship; holders of U.S. green cards and/or passports are ineligible.
· Ph.D.
· Senior faculty status, e.g., departmental chair, dean, mid-to-senior level university administrators.
· Minimum ten years of teaching experience.
· Excellent command of English.
GRANT BENEFITS:
· Monthly stipend
· Settling-in allowance
· Professional allowance
· Excess baggage allowance
· In-transit allowance
· Medical insurance.
· International and domestic travels
