Overview
The MAHEVA (MAn Health Environment biodiVersity in Asia) project aims to contribute to the strengthening cooperation between European Union Higher Education Institutions and Asia country Institutions, facilitating the mobility of students, researchers and academic staff through a scholarships scheme, curriculum development of the individuals, the transfer of know-how in international mobility and the exchange of best practices.
The MAHEVA project will contribute to the specific objectives of EMA2-STRAND 1
- To contribute to the mutual enrichment of societies by developing the qualifications of men and women so that they possess appropriate skills, particularly with respect to career opportunities, national and regional development objectives, opening up to the global society and subsequent international skills;
- To promote mobility altogether for students, researchers and academics from third countries, especially from vulnerable groups, selected on the basis of academic excellence, to obtain qualifications and/or experience in the European Union;
- To favour capacity strengthening and contribute to the development of human resources and the international co-operation capacity of higher education institutions in third countries through increased mobility streams between the EU and third countries in accordance with the principles of equal opportunities and non-discrimination.

Who can apply?
EMECW applicants are nationals of one of the partners countries holding a valid passport or any other kind of verified proof of identification of the home country, and with the requirements to access to the level of mobility at a Higher Education Institute. If they belong to an Asian partner university they can apply for a European partner Institution.
Attention! European students cannot apply for a MAHEVA scholarship!
TG1 (Target group 1) are Students (Undergraduate , Master, PhD with a minimum of 1 year previous university studies) Postdoc and Academic and administrative staff belonging to the partner universities only in Asia.
ATTENTION, in the Maheva program only Asian students can come to Europe!
TG2 (Target group 2) are perspective participants coming from whatever university of the beneficiary Asian countries involved in the project or alumni of a partner university who concluded their academic path. You can only apply if you are a citizen of one of these countries.
Monthly subsistence allowance
Undergraduate 6-10 months 1 000 €
Master 10 months 1 000 €
Doctorate 18 months 1 500 €
Post-Doctorate 10 months 1 800 €
Staff 1 month 2 500 €
Once your application has been validated, you will receive a confirmation e-mail of your inscription and a file number. Please note this number carefully: you will be required to use it throughout the enrolment procedure. Your online application will only be complete once you have uploaded all the documents :
