Overview
This scholarship is funded by an ARC Linkage-Projects grant working with Grain Growers Association and will provide support for 3 years on a full-time basis for a research project leading to a PhD.
The objective of the research project is to develop a prediction model of seasonal rainfall and temperature based on fuzzy theory and data mining techniques.
Applicants should have an Honours 1 or 2A degree in Agricultural Science, Land and Water Science, Science or Engineering. Demonstrated experience in programming mathematical algorithms using command line or research level programming languages (R, Matlab, Java, Fortran or C) is essential.
The scholarship stipend is $27,222 pa in 2010 (tax exempt).
