The Alexander von Humboldt Foundation and the Cluster of Excellence "The Future Ocean" at the Christian-Albrechts University in Kiel, Germany, offer:
10 Postdoctoral Fellowship Positions
in marine, environmental, earth and related sciences, but also including economy, medicine, biology, chemistry, mathematics, geology, geography, law and informatics to work together to understand the ocean, recognize related economic and social impact factors and devise solutions to sustain our future.
A Future Ocean - Alexander von Humboldt Research Fellowship allows postdoctoral researchers to carry out a project of 6-24 months, selected in cooperation with an academic host in Kiel, Germany. The program addresses postdoctoral researchers with a PhD up to four years ago, and experienced postdoctoral researchers, with a PhD not more than twelve years ago.

The Cluster of Excellence "The Future Ocean" is an interdisciplinary research group located in Kiel, Germany, comprising more than 250 scientists from various institutions and disciplines. Researchers jointly investigate climate and ocean change, re-evaluate the opportunities and risks of global change for the oceans and develop strategies to enable sustainable resource management of the world's oceans.
The Future Ocean maintains world class level technical facilities and laboratories at its carrying institutions in order to conduct research on the highest possible level.
