Overview
Applications are invited for the above post to be responsible for the key deliverables of a high profile EU-funded programme under the Marie Curie Actions. This newly created post will be based at Cranfield Defence and Security in Shrivenham, the academic provider for the Defence Academy of the U.K. The successful candidate will be working on an exciting project involving the development of a novel electric drive train system (patent pending) known as Vehicle Interdependent Electric Transmission Architecture (VIETA). The project involves the collaborations with two other partners based in Sweden and the U.K. respectively.
Description
The successful applicant must have a PhD degree or significant research/industry experience in an appropriate discipline, preferably in electrical engineering or applied physics. Experience in electric motor control, power electronics and embedded control will be a distinct advantage. A strong interest in electric vehicle applications and low carbon technologies will be desirable.
