Overview
There are presently European Union scholarships available for students from a limited range of countries, and Egypt is among those countries. The scholarships are for programmes with a European studies focus and one of them is the LLM European Union Law at the University of Reading in the UK.
Amount Awarded
Scholarships of up to €24,000 are available for students undertaking the LLM European Union Law at the University of Reading in England.
The School of Law at Reading offers a one-year taught Master of Laws programme in European Union Law. Students in the programme have an opportunity to develop an advanced knowledge of EU law and examine EU law in its social and political context.
Under the European Neighbourhood Policy the EU will award around 40 scholarships to students from partner countries who are pursuing Masters degrees in fields of European studies. Scholarships are designed to cover tuition fees, living allowance and travel costs, establishment and relocation expenses.
Eligible Candidates
•Applicants must be a national of and resident in one of the following countries: Algeria, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Egypt, Georgia, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Moldova, Morocco, Palestinian Authority, Russia, Syria, Tunisia and Ukraine.
•Applicants must be proficient in English. The Reading Law School’s LLM programmes usually require an IELTS score of 7 or equivalent.
•Applicants must have an undergraduate degree in Law, or a degree with a Law component, or a degree in relevant related field such as European studies. The degree will usually be at first or upper second class Honours standard. The strongest applicants will also hold a second qualification such as a masters or graduate diploma, or may hold a five year degree that equates to undergraduate and masters.
