Postdoc in statistics (2 years)
The Department of Statistics is seeking a postdoc to work within a multidisciplinary project on age-related changes in cognition and health (the Betula project). The main task will be to conduct integrative analyses of longitudinal and cross-sectional data from questionnaires, cognitive tests, brain imaging scans, and genome wide scans. The project is carried out in collaboration with Umeå Center for Functional Brain Imaging (UFBI). The successful applicant is expected to work in close collaboration with scientists at UFBI in developing methods to analyse and integrate the large amount of data available.
Eligible candidates
To qualify for the position you need a PhD degree in Statistics, Mathematical Statistics or a related field, no later than three years before the last date of application. Experience in working with longitudinal studies, and/or brain imaging, and/or genetic statistics is a merit.
The postdoc position will be placed at the Department of Statistics and the applicant is expected to spend parts of the time at UFBI. Starting date: 1 October 2010.
