Europe: 18 international positions for Researchers in Environmental ChemOinformatics

Overview

Marie Curie ITN programme ECO is a collaborative action of seven groups from five EU countries. It is aimed to prepare a new generation of environmental scientists who will contribute to implementation (but not limited to) of new European legislation on chemical substances (REACH).

Program Description

Are you holding a master’s degree in chemistry, environmental sciences, computer sciences or related fields? Are you interested in interdisciplinary research? Is the environmental future of Europe close to your heart? Are you striving for an international career? So you are best-placed to join the European Marie Curie ITN programme “Environmental ChemOinformatics” (ECO).

Marie Curie Initial Training Networks (ITN) are aimed at improving the career perspectives of European researchers who are in the first five years of their career by offering structured training in well defined scientific and technological areas as well as providing complementary skills and exposing the researchers to other sectors including private companies.

Therefore ECO provides the following positions for defined tasks in biological and chemical toxicity analysis as well as in in-silico model development (QSAR/QSPR):

One position for Experienced Researcher (ER, postdoc)

2 Long-term positions for Early Stage Researchers (ESR) leading to PhD.

If you have already started with PhD thesis - but not yet completed it, you would like to take advantage of the opportunity for complementing your studies. In this case you have the chance to join ECO for 3 up to 12 months. In this purpose ECO provides


15 Short-term positions for Early Stage Researchers (ESR) complementing own PhD studies. There is the possibility to apply for defined projects as well as to propose own topics.
