- The Mechanisms of Arsenic Bioremediation by Microalgae (Prof Hemda Garelick).
- Substance Flow Analysis of Priority Pollutants in the Thames River Basin (Dr Lian Scholes)
Biomedical Science
- Biochemical and Electrochemical Studies to Develop a Novel Sensor for the Monitoring and Treatment of Wound Healing (Dr Stephen Butler)
- The Prevalence of Papillomaviruses, polyomaviruses and the Xenotropic Murine Leukemia Virus-Related Infections in Hyperplasia and Carcinoma of the Prostate (Dr Mahmoud Naase)

- an outline of their proposal (2-3 pages) including a short bibliography.
