Fully funded * PhD Research Studentships are currently available at Cranfield University - a vibrant environment for multidisciplinary research in Photonics. (Bursary and fees for UK / EU residents only.)
• International reputation in optical sensors and optical instrumentation
• Purpose built suite of 1st class laboratories
• Close links with industry and researchers from other disciplines
Current programmes include:
Optical gas sensing
Optical flow measurement
Fibre sensors
Full-field Interferometry
Medical applications
* Studentships attract a tax free stipend of at least £13,290 pa, and tuition fees are paid. Due to funding restrictions positions are only open to permanent UK / EU residents.
Candidates should have a good first degree in physics or engineering, and / or an MSc in a relevant subject.
