PhD. scholarship in New Methods for X-ray Imaging

Overview

The Niels Bohr Institute (www.nbi.ku.dk) and the Nano-Science Center (www.nano.ku.dk) at the University of Copenhagen (www.ku.dk) invite applications for a Ph.D. scholarship in new methods for X-ray imaging.

The successful candidate is expected to work in the field of X-ray Imaging using phase contrast and dark field methods. The new methods are well suited to perform imaging of soft tissue and the project will be performed within the framework of the Innovation Consortium CIA-CT
(see http://www.adm.dtu.dk/Inst/MEK/Projekter/CT_Scanning.aspx). The focus will be developing a laboratory based system at the Niels Bohr Institute for applications within meat and other food products, but synchrotron radiation experiments at large scale international facilities must also be foreseen. There will be strong collaborations with Novo Nordisk, Danish Meat Research Association and the Technical University in Munich.
