Erasmus Mundus (IMIM) Scholarships

Overview

IMIM (International Master in Industrial Management) is a two-year, full-time and multi-site programme offered by three leading universities in Europe: Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (Spain), Politecnico di Milano (Italy) and KTH - Royal Institute of Technology (Sweden).

The IMIM Master started in 2004 and has been successfully implemented with funding from the Erasmus Mundus Programme for five years, starting from 2006. Due to the high quality throughout demonstrated, in 2010 IMIM has been awarded by the European Commission/EACEA an Erasmus Mundus Brand Name (EMBN), by which it commits itself to maintain the requirements and level of excellence expected from an Erasmus Mundus Master's Course. However, as a result of the highly competitive nature of the selection and the limited budget available, no "Erasmus Mundus scholarships" will be available for 2011 intake.

The programme is accredited by the Top Industrial Managers Europe (TIME) Association, a network of 55 leading Engineering Schools and Faculties and Technical Universities which offers, through a system of voluntary bilateral agreements between its members, promotion and recognition of academic excellence and relevance to the international labour market, in the form of Double Degrees in engineering and in related fields.

Mature graduates with a few years relevant work experience, fulfilling the above academic requirements, who wish to enhance their portfolio of professional skills matching those required for managerial positions in an international industrial environment.

Admission Requirements

The IMIM Master offers admission to applicants who have the highest potential for graduate study. The minimum graduate admission requirements are:

In addition, relevant work experience (verified by appropriate documentation) is not a requirement, but will be considered as a merit in the selection process
IMIM is committed to promote a balanced gender participation in the course, access to disadvantaged students and to students with disabilities or special needs. As such, in case students of different gender are ranked equally, the tie would be resolved in favour of the less represented gender in the scholarship or admitted list. Also, students with disabilities or special needs are subject to a more favourable evaluation in the selection process. Applicants are given the possibility to include information regarding any sort of disability in their application form.
