Overview
The French Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs (MAEE) and the Crédit Agricole S.A. Group decided to create a scholarship programme for high-level foreign students to study in France.
The scholarship programme, which comes under the “QUAI D’ORSAY / ENTREPRISES” scheme operated by the French Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs, is a public-private partnership designed to provide optimal conditions for student life in France, including a personalized welcome and learning environment. Applicants are selected jointly by the MAEE, Crédit Agricole S.A. and French higher education partner institutions.
The cofinanced scholarship programme CA International Talents is opened to students enrolled in an overseas institution of higher education who are from Greece, Hong-Kong (China), Italy, Japan, Poland, Serbia and Singapore.
For the 2011/2012 academic year, 10 scholarships will be awarded.
AREAS OF STUDY
Study scholarships cofinanced by Crédit Agricole S.A. and the MAEE are awarded for one year of studies in France at Master 2, Master of Sciences or Advanced Master (Mastère spécialisé – MS) level in the following areas:
• Finance
• Risks
• Marketing
• Communication
• Human resources
In one of the following institutions:
- Ecole Centrale Paris
- Ecole Polytechnique
- ESCP Europe
- ESSEC Business School
- HEC Paris
- Sciences Po - Paris
- Université Paris - Dauphine
WHAT ARE THE ADVANTAGES OF THE SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAMME?
Following the selection procedure, if you are awarded a scholarship under the Crédit Agricole International Talents programme, you will receive:
• from Crédit Agricole S.A. :
- a single flat-rate scholarship of 12.000 € ;
- corporate mentoring within Crédit Agricole S.A.;
- a paid internship in Credit Agricole S.A.: the acceptance of this internship by the student is a sine qua non condition for the scholarship allocation
- either the induction programme for international students offered by your French partner school
- or, if not available in your school, an all-inclusive “study in France” package from the EGIDE Agency (in charge of managing French government international mobility programmes), including:
preparation for arrival in France
personalized welcome and transfer on arrival
assistance in obtaining a residence permit
Accommodation research and bookin
accommodation formalities
personal civil liability and repatriation insurance
Personalised support throughout your stay
Telephone assistance 24/7
access to a variety of cultural and leisure activities
- a personalized support if you wish to pursue a career in France.
From the MAEE and with funding from the French Embassy :
• social and medical insurance cover that will give you the status of French government scholarship student and related advantages, including simplified visa applications;
• intensive French-language courses before leaving for France, provided by the Alliances françaises network in your country of origin.
You may also apply for Personalized Housing Benefits (APL).
WHO IS ELIGIBLE?
• You are eligible for this scholarship programme if:
• you are a national of Greece, Hong-Kong (China), Italy, Japan, Poland, Serbia and Singapore;
• you are no more than 30 years of age in the year in which you are selected;
• you have not previously qualified for a scholarship from the French government or from another company.
WHEN DOES THE SELECTION TAKE PLACE?
- Before the 24 MARCH 2011 deadline for receiving applications, you must submit your application for a scholarship of the Crédit Agricole international talents Programme, electronically to the French Embassy.
- You must also submit your application by that date to the French institution of higher education chosen by you from one of the programme’s partner institutions.
- If the scholarship application you sent to the Embassy is admissible, the French Embassy in your country of origin will send you a notification to attend an interview on the day the Selection Committee of the scholarship programme is scheduled to meet.
- Between 24 MARCH and 8 APRIL 2011, the Committee for the Preselection will be convened in your country of origin under the authority of the French Embassy. It will be made up of a representative of the Embassy’s Cooperation and Cultural Action Service (SCAC) and Economic Mission, and of a representative of the Crédit Agricole S.A. Group subsidiary in your country of origin.
- Selected applications will be sent to Paris electronically by the French Embassies in the countries concerned no later than 8 APRIL 2011.
- On 26 APRIL 2011, on the proposal of the Preselection Committee in your country of origin, the final list of the 10 selected applicants will be drawn up by consultation between Crédit Agricole S.A. and the MAEE. Following the examination of your application, you will be informed by the Embassy whether it has been selected for the award a Crédit Agricole International Talents scholarship subject to final admission by the French higher education institution of your choice, or rejected.
The full list of successful applicants will then be posted on the websites of the French Ministry of
Foreign and European Affairs (MAEE), the French Embassies concerned, The Crédit Agricole S.A. group and the French higher education institutions partner to the programme.
WHAT ARE THE SELECTION PROCEDURES?
The following selection criteria are taken into account:
• excellence of the applicant, as reflected by his/her previous university experience;
• the applicant’s career goals;
• the applicant’s level of French.
MANDATORY APPLICATION DOCUMENTS
- a copy of your academic record and of your academic qualifications;
- a one or two-page curriculum vitæ in French or English;
- if you have received it, a copy of the application certificate or acknowledgement of receipt from the French higher education institution(s) you applied to;
- a two-page statement of your career plans in French or English giving the following information : summary of your training experience and of any work experience you may have, career prospects (sector of activity, functions, preferred countries), your motivation for joining this scholarship programme.
