Erasmus Mundus (TPTI) Scholarships

Overview

Erasmus Mundus TPTI (Techniques, Heritage, Industry Territories): scientific quality in service training in technology history, heritage and areas of the industry.

Master TPTI is a inter-university diploma which is coordinated by the University of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, in collaboration with two other European universities, the University of Evora in Portugal and the University of Padua in Italy.

This diploma is the Erasmus Mundus program established by the European Commission to make Europe a pole of excellence in training and research capable of attracting the best students at European universities and researchers worldwide.

Master Erasmus Mundus TPTI offers training in two years, and is designed for students or professionals wishing to develop in methodology, theory and practical heritage. It focuses on both historical analysis and analysis of land and give it an extra dimension of pure research and action research. Thus, it leads to either a doctoral or professional applications (expert, consulting, business culture). Each candidate selected by the Consortium received a grant from the European Commission.

TPTI remains on the account that hundreds of Masters Erasmus Mundus European Commission, one of the few degrees that are aimed at the Francophone world and which makes French the main language of work, even though English is accepted as second language.

TPTI training is designed to provide its students with knowledge of high scientific quality, while enabling them to gain practical experience through internships, learning multiple languages (English, French, Portuguese and Italian) and mobility through various European and non-Europeans who prepare research or professional life.


The Master TPTI consortium consists of three universities:

• Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne (France)
• University of Evora (Portugal)
• University of Padova (Padua)


Entry requirements:

30 applicants are selected each year. The course is open to students holding a Bachelor's degree or equivalent. Experience in heritage work, museum practice, site management or restoration, or industrial archaeology is also strongly recommended. Fluent written and spoken French is essential (ALTE level 4 or 5) as is a good command of English (ALTE level 3 or 4).

Eligibility

Eligibility is by application. This file must contain:

1. A certified photocopy of the last graduation
2. The certificate level language (French and English) with translation into French or English
3. A typed letter written in French or English
4. Two letters of recommendation in English or French, teachers from the home university or for professionals, managers or scientific supervisor
5. A Curriculum Vitae including a bibliography
6. A study project typed
7. the registration form properly filled out, dated, signed


Qualifications, post-course openings:

On successful completion of the TPTI course, students will be awarded three diplomas and on Diploma Supplement. The course will give graduates access to PhD programmes, or to professional opportunities such as museum work, inventory taking, collection management, museum design, consultancy work in management and restoration of monuments and historic sites, cultural economics and engineering, communication and scientific and technical journalism.


Scholarships for foreign professors and researchers

TPTI offers four scholarships to foreign researchers and professors

• TPTI annually hosts professors or researchers from third countries, in proportion to one teacher per semester per member University. The goal is to help TPTI enrichment of the material and strengthening linkages to establish a network of excellence. These exchanges can design and create teaching materials on these subjects, improve best practices in each university, by emulation and the confrontation with the practices of partners to design, build and develop a education center opened, integrating and providing the information delivered through research, analysis and recent studies and innovative, and that affects both academically and in the business world.
• These visiting professors teach courses, offer lectures, participate in student training.
The European Union offers 4 scholarships in the amount of 14,400 euros each for a three-month stay.
• Teachers / researchers residing in Europe for over a year can apply for this scholarship.
