Overview
The Centre of Governance and Human Rights (CGHR) is seeking to appoint a post-doctoral Research Associate to work for up to 15 months on our new research project ‘New communication technologies and citizen-led governance in Africa’, funded by the Cairns Family Trust and the Newton Trust.
The Research Associate will lead CGHR’s ongoing efforts to study how Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) are shaping processes of social and political change in developing countries, and conduct fieldwork in selected countries in Africa. The role holder will collaborate with research partners and provide support to the management of the project. The Research Associate will play an active role in building CGHR within the University and the wider research community. The post provides substantial scope for academic judgement, originality, interpretation and presentation of results.
