All applicants may have an opportunity to compete for scholarships provided by Asia University, depending on qualification of applicants, program admitted, and available funding. Applicants who have received other scholarships are not eligible to apply.

Scholarship I — tuition waiver, dormitory fee waiver, and monthly stipend of NT$6,000
Scholarship II — tuition waiver, dormitory fee waiver
Scholarship III — tuition waiver
Scholarship IV — 50% tuition waiver

How to apply

To apply for scholarship provided by Asia University, a completed form with all required application materials must be sent directly to the Center for International Academic Exchange. Awarded students in Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctoral programs are supported for at most four, two, and three years, respectively. An average score of less than 75 and 80 in previous academic year for undergraduate and graduate students, respectively, will result in disqualification of receiving scholarship. To enhance internationalization as well as cultural exchange on campus, students awarded the part of monthly stipend are required to participate in activities 30 hours a semester arranged by the Office of International College.

Free Language Courses

Students choosing programs conducted in English/Chinese must be proficient enough in English/Chinese, respectively. To help professors understand language proficiency of new students, placement test of English/Chinese will be held after international student orientation. On the basis of test result, some students may be required to take few language courses that are free of charge.

In the recent years, Chinese has gained its status as a world language. Asia University realizes the importance of learning Chinese and thus also encourages international students who choose English-taught programs to take free Chinese courses taught by instructors holding official license for teaching Chinese.
