Overview
The Orange Tulip Scholarship Programme (OTS) was launched by CSCSE-Neso China in 2008. It is aimed at creating opportunities for talented Chinese students to study in the Netherlands in an economical way and make the Dutch higher education accessible to more Chinese students.

Requirements for application
Candidates must:
·have obtained unconditional admission to the University of Twente
·have a relevant bachelor’s degree (or equivalent qualification) from a university or other accredited academic institution
·have an English proficiency level of at least IELTS overall band score 6.0 or TOEFL, internet based (TOEFL-iBT) of at least 80. Candidates must have a minimum score of IELTS 6.0 (or 20 TOEFL iBT) for the sub-score speaking
·have minimum average marks of 75% or above on academic record of the bachelor degree
·write a letter of motivation explaining why you choose this study programme, why you choose to study at the University of Twente and why you think you should be attributed the OTS
·give a description of the work for the final Bachelor assignment/thesis and the outcome.
In addition to these general requirements, specific requirements may apply to individual programmes.

Value of this scholarship
1 student will receive €20.000 towards tuition fee in the academic year 2010-2011.Excellent students may obtain a complementary University of Twente Scholarship.
