Overview
The University of the West of Scotland - Scotland's largest modern university - was recognised in the last Research Assessment Exercise as being home to world-leading and internationally excellent research.
It is also home to a dynamic and growing community of PhD students. As part of its commitment to developing this community, the University is currently offering over 100 PhD studentships.
Studentships will commence in October 2010
The Studentship scheme provides the following benefits:
- Exemption from the payment of annual fees
- £6000 annual stipend
An additional finanical award will also be made to an exceptional applicant from each of the University's Faculties. Overseas students can apply for the studentships but will not be entitled to stipend payments and will be required to pay fees.
