The Austrian Government has published the details of Austrian grants available to Irish students on the Mobility and Research Grants Database of the Austrian Exchange Service http://www.grants.at
The Austrian Exchange Service (Österreichischer Akadamischer Austauschdienst) database contains grant options for students and researchers made available by the Federal Ministry of Education, Science and Culture as well as grants offered by other institutions in Austria to international students or researchers.
The grants that are funded by the federal Ministry of Education, Science and Culture (BMBWK) and which are open to international students are:
Franz Werfel Grant for young university teachers of German language and Austrian literature
Ernst Mach Grant and the Richard Plaschka Grant worldwide
All grants are awarded in free academic competition between the applicants from all countries. It is possible to apply for several programmes at the same time.
Application deadline: 01/03/2010
Application procedure
All applications have to be submitted online at www.scholarships.at before the specified closing date for applications. Interested students are advised to consult the database http://www.grants.at for all relevant details before applying online.
