Overview
The Honours and Postgraduate Scholarship Program provides opportunities in science and engineering for outstanding graduates who enrol each year at Australian tertiary institutions.
Each year, the Program supports honours and postgraduate scholarships for students to work on a project relevant to one of ten priority research areas. Students are co-supervised by researchers in an Australian university and CSIRO. In 2010 the Program will support a number of new Honours Scholarships and PhD Scholarships.
Honours Scholarships are available to students enrolled full-time in an eligible Australian Higher Education Institution during the term of the scholarship and who hold (or expect to gain) a degree from a recognised University and expect to undertake an Honours year.
Top-up PhD Scholarships are available to PhD students who have gained (or expect to gain), first class honours or equivalent in relevant research areas. Students must also expect to receive an Australian Postgraduate Award (APA) or equivalent scholarship commencing in the year of the CSIRO scholarship. Full scholarships are also available in certain circumstances
