The Leverhulme Trust is now inviting applications for the following research awards:
Application materials for the following awards will be available from 4 January 2010:
EARLY CAREER FELLOWSHIPS to provide career development opportunities for those with a proven record of research who have not yet held a full-time established academic post. Applicants should be under age 35 or, if older, should have had a career change or break. Awards are tenable for 2 or 3 years and enable successful candidates to undertake a significant piece of publishable research in a UK higher education institution. Applicants registered for a doctorate must have submitted their thesis by the closing date. The scheme operates on a pattern of joint support whereby The Leverhulme Trust contributes 50% of the Fellow's total salary costs up to an annual limit of £23,000 and the host institution agrees to match this. Research expenses of up to £6,000 per year are also available. Fellowships to commence between the beginning of the 2010/11 academic year and 1 May 2011.
