Italian Government Scholarships 2010/2011 for Indonesian Citizens

Overview

The Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs is offering scholarships for the 2010/2011 academic year to Indonesian citizens.

The online application form can be downloaded here. A printed copy of the application, complete with passport size photo and bearing the date and original signature of the candidate, must be sent to the Embassy of Italy NO LATER THAN 10 April 2010

Each candidate can choose only one of the University and Colleges recognized by the Government of Italy. May not select a foreign university, Foreign High School, and study centers are private not acknowledged by the Government of Italy.

Types of scholarship

a. Short-term language courses

b. Undergraduate:
- Because in accordance with U.U. 264/99 receiving undergraduate students will go through the filter process, applicants are advised to enroll in other programs as an alternative option, so if not acceptable on a program to maintain the scholarship opportunity will not be lost.

c. High School Art and Music:
- High School Art and Music (the academy and conservatory), High School High School Restoration and Cinematography.

d. Post Graduate:
- Program to get a Master's degree level I and II (with a minimum period of one academic year). Are called upon to prospective students to look good tuition program that will be taken.
- The candidate receiving the scholarship for a Master's degree will be informed about the study costs and the possibility that the program requires students to attend a course in academic institutions outside of Italy.


e. S3 Program:
- Criteria for acceptance to the program is determined by each university. Are advised to contact individual institutions or search for information on Internet sites related.

f. Research:
- Must sign up and join the program and graduate / or graduate programs.

g. Specialization:
- In the category of specialized courses do not include medical school (Law 08/08/1991 n.257).

h. Language and Culture Courses Italy for Italian Lecturer
- Language and Culture Courses Italy Indonesia allotment for lecturers who teach Italian. Scholarships for courses on language teaching and learning take place in Italy Università per Stranieri in Perugia, Siena and Roma Tre or at other institutions entitled to issue certificates of language teaching Italian as a foreign language.

NB. Prospective scholarship recipients are required to have a letter of acceptance from the professor or institution selected.

The prospective scholarship recipients and undergraduate programs Postgraduate - in which the scope of studies required to follow one part of the program implemented in a different place from the academic institutions of science major who received the scholarship, candidates will be asked to specify it at the time of registration to the Board of Directors General may prepare the appropriate time sending payment instructions in each window Provincial Treasurer in each region.

Scholarship period varies between 3, 6, 9 and 12 months. Period of scholarship is the academic year 2010-2011. As for Master/S3 program may be extended until March 31, 2012.

Eligibility Requirements

The main requirements for prospective scholarship recipients are as follows:

1) The ability to speak Italian
Italian language skills are the main requirements that must be fulfilled by the candidates through the interview in the Italian Cultural Institute Certificate or showing Italian. These conditions do not apply to programs Italian language courses.

2) Diploma
Prospective scholarship recipients must have a certificate in accordance with that required for registration in selected academic institutions. Some provisions on the subject:

- A certificate must be translated into Italian and legalized by the Italian government representative in the country where the study conducted.
- A certificate must be accompanied by a written statement by the Embassy of Italy about the value of diplomas in the country where the study conducted.
- For Undergraduate enrollment at the universities in Italy, the candidate receiving the scholarship must have a High School diploma or equivalent, which is considered valid in their country to enter the university level.
- To sign-on Program Specialization, and Postgraduate Master Program Level I and II in the Italian University degree required a diploma equivalent to Italy to do registration and other documents to be determined by academic institutions chosen by the candidate receiving the scholarship.
- To become a student at the College of Arts and Music takes a certificate / diploma High School (SMU) or equivalent, to be acceptable to the art academy or conservatory.
- To follow courses Italian Language and Culture is required High School diploma (high school).

3) Age Limit
Age limits for scholarship recipients is 35 years. The age limit does not apply to the Italian professor, the professor provided to Italian language teaching. Exceptions to High School Cinematography demanding that the age limit not exceeding 27 years.

Prospective scholarship recipients must be at least 18 years old.


4) The submission of the application
Scholarship applications must be made online at:
http://borseonline.esteri.it/borseonline/it/index.asp

In addition to filling an online form, scholarship applicants are also required to upload documents of identity, the passport.
After doing the application online, please print the form, signed, equipped with a passport photo and sent to the Istituto Italiano di Cultura and:

- Two letters of recommendation from academic authorities
- Letter of Acceptance from the university addressed (except for language courses)
- Photo copies of identity documents (passports)

Scholarship application does not meet the above requirements is considered failed
