Overview
The Australian Institute of Nuclear Science and Engineering (AINSE) are offering top-up scholarships for doctoral candidates holding an Australian Postgraduate Award or equivalent scholarship. Applicants will have a research project associated with nuclear science, or its applications, and require access to the unique national facilities at ANSTO.
The scholarships provide a supplement stipend of up to $7,500 pa, $5,500 pa for costs involved in using the facilities, as well as a travel and accommodation allowance to enable students to work at Lucas Heights.
Eligible Candidates
Applicants must be in receipt of an APA or equivalent scholarship.
Amount awarded:
$7,500 per annum as a supplementary scholarship plus $5,500 for using facilities and services at Lucas Heights.

The application form must be completed online. Please note that the form is not compatible with Firefox so you must use Internet Explorer. If you have difficulties with the online form please contact the IT personnel in your department or Ms Gillian Blackburn at AINSE (Tel: 9717 3436).
Submission Requirements
Hard copies: 1 original + 1 copy of your application form and supporting documents. Please note that you must attach certified copies of your academic transcripts with the key to grading.
Electronic copy: The Research Office will PDF your application form and supporting documents after the Director of the Research Office has signed your application.
The Research Office will send the hard copy and electronic copy to AINSE.
