Overview
The Cancer Institute NSW is pleased to announce funding for Research Scholars Awards. These awards provide funding opportunities to develop and support outstanding students enrolled in a higher degree who have the potential to develop highly significant careers in cancer research.
Eligibility:
Applicants must have already secured a scholarship from the NHMRC, or their University of enrolment, or another source. The Cancer Institute NSW Research Scholar Awards provide additional funding for the scholar's research project and for travel purposes, to ensure the project is supported at a level that will allow significant progress.
Amount awarded:
The Cancer Institute NSW Research Scholar Awards are valued at a total of $25,000 per annum, for up to three years, to commence in October 2010. Please note that only $5,000 will be paid as a top-up scholarship directly to the award holder.
How to apply:
Please read the Research Office’s Submission Guidelines (see below document) before commencing your application. The application must be submitted to the Research Office by Thursday, 1 April 2010. DO NOT submit your application directly to CINSW.
